 I was recently asked for a spell to encourage someone to tell the truth. This is an easy one! Simply have some sea salt in your pocket, or somewhere about your body. Ask open questions in a pleasant manner, with a smile on your face. An accomplished liar might still fool you, but overall this technique works. Watch out for very elaborate stories with lots of detail - the truth is usually simply and easily told.

To bring back a straying lover

This spell works best if used within four weeks of the split, and please be aware that if your lover is in love with another then no spell on earth will bring them back. However, just because they say or think they are in love does not mean that they actually are. So this spell is worth a try!

You will need a nut, yes a nut! or an acorn. In its shell, you know - brazil nut, hazlenut or somethIng similar. Bury the item with a piece of silver jewellery or a coin in a place as far way from your home as possible - for example you could bury the items while you are away on a trip, or post them to a friend who lives some distance away. The burial should take place on the night of a full moon. As the burial takes place you should ask the fairies to gently draw the person away from you. Do not invite the person to eat or drink with you for seven days after the burial. If they insist on joining you for a meal that’s ok, as long as it was not at your invitation.

Healthy Diet Spell

On the night of a full moon stand naked before the largest mirror you have. View your body critically, and write down your worst features.

Carefully fold the list of bad features and seal it in an envelope. Write "bad" on the envelope and put it in a drawer or old handbag and forget about it for now.

Go back to the mirror and write a list of your best features, for example you may have seductive eyes, or a sensual mouth, elegant feet and ankles, good boobs or firm buttocks. Put your list of good features under your pillow at bedtime.

On the night of a full moon take a new black candle and place it in a tall glass, a champagne flute would be ideal, but a tumbler will do. Place a new AA battery in the glass with the candle. Light the candle. Repeat three times;

Moonbrine spell

This spell harnesses the power of the bond between the moon and the sea. It is a gentle spell, you will note that the elements of air, water and earth are present, but no fire. Gentle but powerful.

It diffuses any anger that is being directed towards you, and it draws gentle loving friends and relationships into your personal space.

Method

On the night of a new moon collect about a pint (500ml) of seawater, or dissolve a couple of tablespoons of sea salt in a pint of rainwater. Leave the container of moonbrine on a window sill.

When twenty four hours has passed take the container of moonbrine. Walk out of your front door and when you reach the pavement (sidewalk) or path turn left. You are now going to walk in a full circle around your house or building. Depending on your situation you may have to walk around the block. Count your footsteps, and sprinkle a little moonbrine every seventh step. You only sprinkle a little. You should have some left when you return to your front door.

When you return to the front door of your building gently pour the remaining moonbrine on the floor or doorstep. If this is going to cause a health and safety hazard then pour it as close as you can, perhaps in a flower bed or flower pot.

Go inside your house, rinse out the container and dry it thoroughly.

On the night of a full moon, light a red candle in your bedroom. Take a new sheet of paper and a new pencil (one that has never written before). Write the following on the paper;

"Moon full, full moon - grant to me one boon - send a lover close to me - as you will, so mote it be"


Then carefully burn the paper using the flame from the candle. Use a heavy ashtray or an empty biscuit tin to hold the paper while it burns to ash.

If your paper burns in one go - keep an eye out, your lover is close!

If you have to relight it - wait 28 days before looking for your lover.

It doesn’t matter how many times you have to relight the paper, the spell will still work as long as the paper burns to ash.

Once you have ashes you may blow out the candle.
